Our Story
We met in 1998 as high schoolers and have been inseparable since! We married in 2005, welcomed our son in 2009 and daughter in 2012. While our kids were young, we spent those years building our careers and enjoying our life together.

Brandon graduated from UNI with a B.S. in History, but then went to work in quality engineering at various manufacturing companies in the Cedar Valley, including Kryton Metals, Viking Pump and John Deere. He left John Deere as a senior engineer to follow his passion of working in construction. He takes the project management background, attention to detail and solving complex problems to every construction project. The joy of seeing clients who are happy with the results, and more importantly, in love with their home, is what makes his job so enjoyable.
Megan graduated from UNI with a B.S. in Interior Design. She went to work in various fields in the industry including contract design, hospitality design, architecture and construction. She most recently spent ten years with a large contract furniture manufacturer, leading teams who managed showrooms, design technology and dealer applications. Her career has focused on combining love of design with process, which is something she brings to Big Woods with gusto. She loves creating spaces for people that make a statement, reflect their unique styles and just function well. Her passion for order and structure means that we have a well-defined process that ensures your project will run smoothly from start to finish.
