Constant Communication - the Big Woods team has years of project management experience. We know how important it is to continually communicate about the three pillars of any project: Scope, Cost and Schedule. You can expect a weekly project summary detailing all the activity, with regular check-ins in between.
Choice - we don't do cookie cutter. There is a good chance this will be the first and last home you build so we want you to love every choice. We will certainly help guide you to materials and finishes that fit within your budget, but we aren't rigid in giving only a handful of options for each material choice.
Interior Design Services - this is so much more than walking through a showroom trying to make finish choices that will hopefully work together. We offer a design experience that curated to your specific needs. We'll spend time getting to know your preferences, your style and what you hope your new home will "feel" like when it's complete. How does this make us different from other builders?
Unlike other builders, we'll give you the flexibility to make choices that result in a home that is uniquely yours. Some builders have "design service offerings" that allow you to pick from 4 flooring options, 5 cabinet styles, 3 countertop options and 4 paint colors. We couldn't be more different!
With the Big Woods Design Experience, you'll get design consultations with Megan to uncover your style and needs which will result in a Design Board for each major space which shows the inspiration and design vision. The work we'll do together on these Design Boards will result in detailed drawings that will ensure that constructions flows smoothly and all the details are considered. In addition to Design Boards, we can design cabinetry for your kitchen, baths and laundry room. We'll also complete detailed floor plans, elevations, electrical, reflected ceiling and finish plans to ensure that no detail is missed.
If this sounds like a custom home build, you're absolutely right. We build custom homes because that means you get to choose exactly what you want for your investment. However, we can work within your budget to give you choices that fit within your means. Choosing the Design Service Package adds a very small percentage to the contractor fee, but the end result will bring a stunning home that you will be thrilled with.
